In our first lesson on getting the cheapest deal on your
holiday, we are going to look at how a different flight time will affect the
price of your holiday. All the illustrations relate to Portland Holidays
but the principles can be applied to other holiday companies as well.
Getting a selection of flight times is only possible with the
larger holiday companies & the most popular holiday destinations flying from the
bigger UK airports. It's no use attempting to find 3 different flight times to
Crete from Bournemouth airport on the same day with the same airline!
In this example we have searched the Portland website for a
7 night holiday on the 12th August 2008, to the Hotel El Tope in Puerto De La Cruz in
Tenerife from Manchester Airport for 2 adults.
This search has produced the results you can see above. We
have the same 7 day holiday but with a price difference of £45 per adult
passenger. The flight at 07:00 in the morning shows the holiday cost as
£459 per adult passenger & the later flight at 15:55 offers the same holiday
considerably cheaper at £414 per adult passenger.
