Portland Holidays have been serving you with great value holidays for over 30 years, but in a strategic change to their business, TUI Travel plc, the owners of the Portland brand have decided to close it down from May 2011 and offer the holidays previously available with Portland Holidays via its sister brand - Thomson

So its goodbye to Portland Holidays, but no need to worry about your favourite Portland Holiday accommodation disappearing from the package holiday scene, as most of the 340 featured hotels and apartments that Portland Holidays had available are now with their sister company - Thomson!

Portland Holiday Classics - Available With Thomson

We think you will find the prices that Thomson charge for their holidays comparable to the old prices that were available with Portland Holidays. If you factor in the online discounts and special offers, you could get some of your old holiday favourites cheaper with Thomson than you did with Portland!

Additionally, we believe the online experience using the Thomson website is light years away from the old Portland Holidays website. At thomson.co.uk you have a far greater range of tools available, including maps, Thomson reviews, Tripadvisor reviews, videos & photo gallery.
